Karera Waterfalls

The Nyakazu Fault (also known as the German Fault); according to popular legend, the boots of Germans fleeing the Belgians are said to be the cause of this spectacular notch.

It is therefore both a natural and historical site, but the main attraction is the magnificent relief of the Nkoma massif. Facing southeast, it offers a breathtaking view of the Kumoso plain, which stretches out to the distant Tanzanian borders.

This fault is of recent tectonic origin and covers 600 hectares. It features an exceptional structure, and one can find historical remains of the German fort here, representing historical prestige and an impressive structure.
